Senior Data Analyst (Pricing & Space)

Technical Skills:

• Experience: 5+ years of experience as a Data Analyst, Business Intelligence Analyst, or Pricing Analyst in a retail or CPG setting.
• Core Tech Stack: Advanced proficiency in SQL (joining messy data, window functions, complex aggregations) and working knowledge of BI reporting platforms.
• Resourcefulness & Data Matching: Demonstrated knack for working with imperfect datasets, vendor mapping, entity resolution, and exploratory data analysis.
• Retail Acumen: Solid background analyzing cost structure changes, competitor price matching, or physical store layout/space planning datasets.
• Communication: Exceptional storytelling abilities through data; strong verbal and written communication in a fully remote setup.

Responsibilities:

• Vendor & Competitor Data Matching: Think outside the box to reconcile, match, and analyze disparate vendor cost feeds and market price data against internal historical pricing.
• Pricing & Margin Analytics: Perform analytical modeling on price elasticity, promotion impacts, and margin changes based on provider adjustments and local market dynamics.
• Space Planning Support: Collaborate with retail operations and merchandising teams to evaluate store layouts, shelf utilization, planogram efficacy, and store-level demand.
• Exploratory Data Analysis: Query large-scale datasets directly using advanced SQL and cloud analytics tools (Databricks/AWS).
• Business Intelligence & Reporting: Build intuitive executive dashboards and analytical reports to clearly present strategic recommendations to cross-functional stakeholders.
