Data Engineer

Required Skills & Experience

We are seeking a Data Engineer with a solid foundation in data engineering fundamentals and experience handling sensitive healthcare data.

• Senior-level, hands-on experience building and maintaining data pipelines using Databricks and/or Snowflake
• Strong proficiency in SQL for querying, transforming, and validating data
• Practical experience designing and implementing ETL/ELT processes end to end
• Solid understanding of data pipeline architecture principles, including scalability, reliability, and maintainability
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to data quality and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and mentor other engineers on best practices

Key Responsibilities

We collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, production-grade data pipelines that power analytics, AI, and reporting products.

• Build and maintain scalable data pipelines using Databricks and/or Snowflake
• Design and implement robust ETL/ELT processes across multiple data sources
• Apply data pipeline architecture best practices, including orchestration, data quality, and monitoring
• Optimize pipeline performance, cost, and reliability in production environments
• Collaborate with analytics, product, and engineering teams to ensure data availability and quality
• Troubleshoot and resolve data pipeline issues as they arise

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with dbt for data transformation and modeling
• Experience with pipeline orchestration tools (Airflow, ADF, or similar)
• Exposure to cloud-native data platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
• Experience with CI/CD for data pipelines
• Familiarity with HIPAA/PHI regulations
