Ad Creative Designer — Image + Short Video

Qualifications and requirements

1–3 years making ads or social content, with a portfolio of playable links showing work built to sell, not just to look good.

Fluent in one editing program (CapCut, Premiere, or comparable) and one design tool (Photoshop or Canva).

Already using AI image and video tools on your own — for example ComfyUI, Kling, Runway, Chatgpt image, Grok image, or comparable tools. Show us at least one example.

Working understanding of hooks, CTAs, visual hierarchy, and pattern interrupts, and a real drive to get much better at direct response ads.

Fast, self-directed, takes critical feedback, asks when blocked instead of guessing, is willing to ask critical questions and challenge ideas.

English B2 or better. Briefs, feedback, and ad copy are in English; we write the copy. Ads will also be in spanish.

Available on a fixed schedule with at least 4 hours/day overlapping US Eastern.

You don't need to be an expert across the stack. We're hiring for fundamentals, speed, and hunger to learn, and we'll invest in you.

Job functions

Turn our briefs (angle, hook, offer, copy) into direct-response static image and short-form video ads — Meta focused.

Produce meaningfully different variations for testing: new hook, new visual concept, new format.

Build real-asset creatives from a product photo and B-roll library we provide, plus a one-time kit of real product and packaging we ship you for shooting.

Build AI-assisted creative: realistic product and lifestyle imagery, AI UGC, and scenes that would be expensive to shoot in person.

Combine real footage, AI assets, graphics, text, and voiceover when that makes the strongest ad.

Compose intentionally for 1:1, 4:5, 9:16, and 16:9 — safe zones, text placement, visual hierarchy — and export to each platform's specs (resolution, compression, file-size limits).

Keep the library organized and named so we can track what's been tested.

After ramp: bring your own concepts and competitor research.

We are not expecting equal proficiency across design, video, AI generation, photography and direct-response strategy. You should be strong in either static design or video editing, capable in the other, and interested in developing across the complete performance-creative workflow. We will invest heavily in training, tools and feedback.

Conditions

700–1,000 USD/month gross for 20 hrs/week, paid monthly. Rate review at 90 days.

Ads in this category have specific Meta health and personal-attributes rules. We'll train you on them and review every ad before it runs.

Desirable skills

Experience with Meta Ads creative testing or working alongside a media buyer.

Judgment on when a real shoot beats AI, and vice versa.

Product photography or basic product video shooting.

Competitor and ad-library research habits.

LeadsEngine is a small lead generation SaaS, founder-run company. Our current focus is diabetic supply buyback: Our SaaS finds sellers with unused, unopened supplies — Omnipod, Dexcom, Libre, test strips — from people who no longer need them, and it automatically advertises on Facebook and Instagram, expanding to more platforms soon.

You'd join the two founders directly. No agency, no layers. Your job is to build a large direct-response ad library that we test and improve continuously — roughly half real-world creative and half AI-generated or AI-assisted, mixing static images and short-form video + repurposing ads into Spanish. Every ad you make gets tested, and you get the performance data back.
